    If you are adding furniture transfers to the furniture can you apply one coat of this to seal the paint and then apply the furniture transfer then add two more coats on top? Or do you have to apply the furniture transfer first then apply the 3 coats?

    Hi Ray. I just found you and I just subscribed. Like this table you built. The center bar supports are called Joist hangers. I am sure you have realized that by now. But for those new, this will help. Also, to be more effective. I would drill a hole through the hangers and the stringer ends then you can stick a bolt through. To help prevent table collapse if someone leaned on the end of the table.

    • @CraftedbyRay
      @CraftedbyRay 10 днів тому

      What's a good idea for adding a bolt it's just that the people that I made it for didn't want to have a lot of extra stuff to carry I made them like 15 of these tables they didn't want to have a bunch of things to do so it was just what I came up with but thank you for the subscription and the suggestion and thanks for watching

      @@CraftedbyRay hi thanks for your response. I did about 4 coats. It's functional. Next time I will choose a better quality of wood. I had trouble finding something thin, and low cost. Now that I have some experience in it. Not a difficult process and rewarding. This table was thrashed. I used this sanded plywood to cover an over sanded veneer. Thus grain visible looks brushed. It really shines in the center of the room though. Has a utility look great for a coffee or a beer..lol.. Imperfect but good..

    Just some constructive criticism, sand your interior before glue up, your product will look more professional, recess your hinges so your finished lid is completely flat. And cut the rabbit in your lid before you cut it off, less chance of it breaking, Other than that, this was a nice build.
